OUR MISSION

Our mission is to support an increase in human consciousness and encourage research that will visibly reveal our archetypal energies and structures to humans.

Here on Skyground we try to clarify the roles that we archetypes play in shaping human personalities and civilizations. We know we can all do better, creating foundations that individuate identities while retaining the fact that we are all connected.

HAPLOID: A cell or nucleus that has only 1 set of unpaired chromosomes. Ova and sperm are haploid cells, produced during meiosis

INTERPHASE: a growth and replication phase of a cell; the resting phase between successive mitotic divisions of a cell, or between the first and second divisions of meiosis.

MEIOSIS: A process of 2 cell-divisions (meiosis I and meiosis II) to produce 4 gametes containing half the original amount of genetic information, for reproduction:

Meiosis I and II each go through 4 stages (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase) that reduce the chromosome-number of the original diploid cell by half, creating four haploid gamete cells that are unlike the parent cell.

Here are some differences between meiosis I and meiosis II: https://socratic.org/questions/5a6a2b7b7c0149646668ab98

Meiosis I: The sex-cell duplicates and separates each pair of chromosomes, producing 2 diploid cells

Meiosis II: The sister chromatids separate, producing 4 haploid cells, the gametes

MITOSIS: Cell division that copies chromosomes and separates them into 2 identical diploid nuclei for 2 identical cells (example: hair and skin cells)
