Our mission is to support an increase in human consciousness and encourage research that will visibly reveal our archetypal energies and structures to humans.
Here on Skyground we try to clarify the roles that we archetypes play in shaping human personalities and civilizations. We know we can all do better, creating foundations that individuate identities while retaining the fact that we are all connected.

Parthenogenesis is a process of reproduction without fertilization of an egg by a sperm, resulting in a "virgin birth"; asexual reproduction.
Both plants and animals reproduce in this way, but no human has yet been proved to have been conceived asexually. However, there is much interest in this possibility or probability.
The first mention of human parthenogenesis in literature was in the prophecy of Jesus Christ’s birth, as described in Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

There are several ways by which parthenogenesis occurs:
1. In apomictic parthenogenesis (apomixis): the replication of an egg by mitosis results in two diploid cells that are clones of the parent.
2. In automictic parthenogenesis (automixis): the haploid egg – produced by meiosis – either duplicates its chromosomes without nuclear division or it joins another haploid cell or polar body, becoming diploid. Because the resulting offspring is the product of meiosis, genetic recombination has occurred, so it's not a true clone of the parent egg.
3. In arrhenotokous parthenogenesis (arrhenotoky): the unfertilized egg develops into a male.
4. In thelytokous parthenogenesis (thelytoky): the unfertilized egg develops into a female.
5.In deuterotokous parthenogenesis (deuterotoky): a male or a female may develop from the unfertilized egg.

Helen Spurway (1915 – 1978) was a British geneticist who specialized in the reproductive biology of the guppy, Lebistes reticulatus. In 1955 she claimed that parthenogenesis – which occurs in the guppy in nature – "may also occur (though very rarely) in the human species, leading to so-
